About Uptown Mosaic

For almost ten years I lived in NW Washington, DC; Uptown to be specific.  It was a great time.  You could go from a club, to a poetry reading, to a play or an art show all in the course of a few days.  The city was at its most vibrant, with an eclectic mix of culture and life.

Uptown Mosaic Magazine brings the essence of Uptown DC online with lively writing and art that embodies that era and enlightens and challenges our readers.  Our goal is to create a forum for great authors to share their work.  That’s what Uptown Mosaic is all about.  Not only will we feature exciting fiction, but also poetry, nonfiction, and art.

Bi-monthly, we’ll feature new fiction stories, poetry, art and nonfiction from our community of writers.  We also accept your submissions.

Right now we’re just getting started.   As we grow we’ll roll out new features and improvements to make this site even better.  In the meantime enjoy this month’s fiction submissions and the blog “An Uncommon Mind”.
